- Read-only. Over MCP your assistant only gets read tools: it can list accounts, read balances and search transactions. There is no payment tool in this connection.
- You log in at DKB itself. Access runs through finAPI, a PSD2-licensed account information service, and your banking credentials never reach BankingMCP.
- BankingMCP doesn't keep your balances and transactions; it fetches them for each question your assistant asks. Only account details and an access log, kept for 90 days, are stored.
- Every assistant gets its own address. Deactivate one and its access to your DKB account stops immediately.

- What do I need to log in to DKB?
- DKB's own login form asks for: Anmeldename and Passwort. You enter them at DKB, not at BankingMCP and not in the chat.
- Does my assistant see my DKB login?
- No. You log in at DKB in its own web form. Neither BankingMCP nor your assistant ever receives your PIN, password or TAN.
- Do I need programming skills to use DKB with Claude or ChatGPT?

- Can my assistant transfer money from my DKB account?
